How to Play Mortal Kombat
Quick start
Choose one of seven fighters and practise basic spacing before learning special moves. On a three-button pad, A punches, B is low kick, C is high kick and Start blocks; use crouching A as a dependable uppercut and Back+B for a sweep. Win two rounds while guarding deliberately instead of holding away. Learn one projectile or advancing special first, then add the character’s close-range Fatality input.
Controls
D-pad: move, jump and crouch. Three-button pad—A: low punch; Back+A provides the high-punch form, B: low kick, C: high kick, Start: block. Six-button pad—A/X: low/high punch, C/Z: low/high kick, B or Y: block. Start pauses outside the three-button block use. Motions plus attacks perform special moves.
