How to Play Mortal Kombat II
Quick start
Choose a fighter and take on the Outworld tournament. Control distance with standing attacks, sweeps, uppercuts, and projectiles, then punish missed moves rather than jumping constantly. Win two rounds to advance; after the final hit, enter a character-specific command during the Finish Him or Finish Her prompt.
Controls
D-pad: move, crouch, jump, block by holding away, and enter special-move directions. Six-button layout assigns high punch, low punch, high kick, low kick, and block across the face buttons; on a three-button pad, Start switches punches and kicks. Throws, special moves, Fatalities, Babalities, and Friendships use fighter-specific combinations.
