How to Play Out of This World
Quick start
At the opening, swim straight up before the creature reaches Lester, then run right and use careful standing jumps to escape the beast. The game explains almost nothing in text, so watch animation and scenery for cues and expect each screen to be a compact action puzzle. After obtaining the pistol, practise its three charge levels: quick fire for guards, a short hold for a protective field and a longer hold for a barrier-breaking blast. Keep your alien companion alive and use passwords to resume major sections.
Controls
Left/Right walks and Down crouches; the D-pad also climbs and controls swimming. Hold A with Left/Right to run. Before finding the pistol, A kicks; afterwards, tap A to draw and fire, hold it until the first energy globe appears then release to place a force field, or hold longer and release a powerful shot. B jumps—combine it with a run for longer gaps. Start pauses and opens password entry; A, B or C accepts the current password to restart that section.
