How to Play Pat Riley Basketball
Quick start
Choose Exhibition or Tournament, one or two players, a city team, skill level, and zone or man-to-man defense. Move the ball with quick passes, shoot only when a defender is not set, and hammer the shot button during close-up tip-offs or slam dunks. On defense, switch early and steal while the ball is exposed.
Controls
D-pad: move the controlled player and select options. On offense, B shoots and C passes. On defense, B switches to the teammate nearest the ball or contests a dunk, while C attempts a steal. A calls timeout. During tip-offs and slam-dunk close-ups, press B rapidly. Start pauses.
