How to Play Phantasy Star II
Quick start
Leave Paseo with Rolf and Nei to investigate the BioSystems Lab and the biomonster outbreak across Mota. Recruit companions at Rolf's home, buy equipment for each specialist, and map the large multi-level dungeons carefully. Save in towns, carry healing and escape items, and level the whole active party before major objectives.
Controls
D-pad: move, choose commands, and position the cursor. C confirms, talks, searches, and opens doors; B cancels or returns. A opens the main command window and can inspect status depending on context. Start pauses or calls the system menu in supported reissues. In battle, choose Fight, Technique, Item, or Defense for each character before the round resolves.
