How to Play Pitfall: The Mayan Adventure
Quick start
Move slowly through the opening jungle until Harry’s running jump and whip range feel natural. Search above and below the main route for lives, weapon ammunition, and PITFALL letters. Use the whip nearby, save stones and boomerangs for distant threats, and keep the default controls so the Genesis mine-cart sequence remains completable.
Controls
D-pad: Run, crouch, climb, swing, and aim. B: Jump. Attack buttons use the whip and throw the selected stone or boomerang; a six-button pad gives direct weapon buttons, while the three-button layout cycles weapons through Start. Start: Pause or cycle as configured. Keep the default Genesis layout to avoid the mine-cart bug.
