How to Play Populous
Quick start
Flatten land around your followers so tents grow into larger settlements and the population produces more mana. Expand connected level ground before spending power on disasters. Use the overview map to watch the enemy, set followers to settle or gather, then apply swamp, flood, earthquake, or Armageddon only when mana and terrain favour you.
Controls
D-pad: Move the map cursor and highlight icons. A: Select or apply the chosen divine power. B: Cancel or lower terrain in land-shaping mode. C: Switch panels or raise terrain according to the active tool. Start: Pause/open commands. The selected icon and mana bar determine the current action.
