How to Play Samurai Shodown
Quick start
Choose a warrior, learn the reach of their weapon, and win two rounds before the timer expires. Control spacing with light and medium slashes, punish missed attacks with a heavy slash, and use kicks when an opponent is too close for a weapon swing. Special moves use character-specific D-pad motions plus an attack button; block by holding away and avoid relying on slow heavy attacks against a mobile rival.
Controls
D-pad: move, crouch, jump, and hold away to guard. A: light slash. B: medium slash. A+B: heavy slash. C: kick; combinations with C provide stronger kicks. Start: pause. Character-specific special techniques combine quarter-circle, charge, or directional motions with an attack button; consult the move list for each fighter.
