How to Play Shadowrun

Quick start

Begin as Joshua in Seattle, take small shadowruns to earn nuyen and karma, and buy armour, weapons, healing, cyberware, spells, or a better cyberdeck before accepting dangerous contracts. Question contacts to uncover your brother's murder, hire runners whose skills cover your weakness, and save often through the pocket secretary. In the Matrix, scout systems and manage programs carefully because damaged software and medical bills can erase early profits.

Controls

Overhead play: D-pad moves the controlled runner; A attacks with the equipped weapon or spell; B targets an enemy and cycles targets; C changes the controlled team member; Start opens inventory and pauses. Menus: D-pad moves the cursor, A or B confirms, C changes runner, and Start exits. Matrix: D-pad selects programs; A/B/C activate them in offensive, neutral, or defensive posture; Start backs out.
