How to Play Soldiers of Fortune
Quick start
Choose two mercenaries whose strengths complement one another; in a solo game the computer controls the partner. Move through each top-down area together, shoot the numbered power nodes to open the exit, and collect cash, keys, food, weapon upgrades, and special-power charges. Tap the fire button for normal shots and hold it for roughly two seconds to use the selected special ability. Between stages, spend cash on stamina and weapon attributes instead of buying every option immediately; keeping both characters alive preserves more firepower and carrying capacity.
Controls
D-pad: move and aim in eight directions. B: tap to fire the character’s weapon; hold for about two seconds to activate the available special ability when a special-power charge remains. Start: begin or pause. The Mega Drive version condenses shooting and special activation onto the same action button. Walk over cash, food, keys, upgrades, and special-power items to collect them; shoot required nodes to unlock the level exit.
