How to Play Sonic the Hedgehog

Quick start

Race through each act, collect rings for protection, and free animals trapped inside Robotnik’s machines. Use slopes, springs, and rolling attacks to keep momentum, touch starposts as checkpoints, and defeat the boss at each zone’s end.

Controls

D-pad Left/Right: Run. Up: Look up. Down: Crouch; press Down while moving to roll. A/B/C: Jump and spin attack. Start: Pause. The original Mega Drive/Genesis game has no Spin Dash, so build speed with terrain and rolling.
