How to Play Starflight
Quick start
Recruit and train a crew, outfit the ship, then explore star systems for habitable worlds, minerals, ruins, and alien contacts. Keep fuel for the return trip, record coordinates and clues, and sell survey data or resources to fund upgrades. Save at the starport before long expeditions or dangerous landings.
Controls
D-pad: move the cursor, steer the terrain vehicle, or choose bridge commands. A/C: select icons, confirm orders, scan, fire, or interact as prompted. B: cancel or return to the previous display. Start: pause/status. Most actions use labelled bridge and planetary interface icons.
