How to Play Tecmo World Cup
Quick start
Choose a national team and build attacks with short passes, crosses, and shots from clear angles. Keep defenders in shape instead of chasing every touch, time tackles from the side, and move the goalkeeper only when necessary. Use the formation and lineup screens before difficult matches.
Controls
D-pad: move the active player and aim passes or shots. A: short pass or player switch. B: shoot or sliding tackle. C: lob, cross, or secondary action. Start: pause. Actions change with possession and ball position; use the on-screen formation and score displays.
