How to Play The Flintstones
Quick start
Fred must complete seven errands, including finding Pebbles and recovering Wilma’s necklace. Explore each prehistoric stage for the required object instead of assuming the far-right edge is always the goal. Use the club from a safe distance, watch enemy timing and collect food or health before attempting vertical rooms. Ledge climbing is strict: stand at the very edge, hold Up and press a jump button, then wait for Fred to catch the platform. Passwords let you resume later tasks, so record each one shown after a completed stage.
Controls
Left and Right move Fred, Down crouches and Up interacts with doors, ladders or climb points. A or C jumps. To pull onto a higher object, move to its edge, hold Up and press A or C; keep the direction steady until Fred catches it. B swings the club to attack enemies and break suitable obstacles. Start pauses and confirms menu choices. The European, Japanese and US releases use the same core layout; the Japanese manual can therefore support the button mapping even when the on-screen text or title presentation differs.
