How to Play Tony La Russa Baseball
Quick start
Choose teams, set the lineup and pitcher, then manage a complete baseball game with detailed substitutions and strategy. At bat, read pitch location, swing selectively, and use bunts or steals only when the count and defense allow. On the mound, mix pitch type, speed, and location; after contact, move the nearest fielder and throw to the lead base. Use bullpen changes before fatigue turns into extra-base hits.
Controls
D-pad: navigate menus, aim pitches, move fielders, and direct baserunners. Batting buttons swing, bunt, or control the runner; pitching buttons select and release pitch types. In the field, face buttons throw to bases and switch the controlled player. Start pauses or opens the manager menu. Exact contextual labels appear on the current batting, pitching, and fielding screen.
