How to Play Triple Play: Gold Edition
Quick start
Choose an exhibition, playoff, or season, set the lineup, then play with the updated 1996 rosters and optional Professional Mode. At bat, judge pitch height and timing, use contact swings with two strikes, and send runners only after reading the outfield. When pitching, vary speed and location; after contact, move the nearest fielder and throw ahead of the runner. Use substitutions before fatigue becomes costly.
Controls
D-pad: navigate menus, aim pitches and swings, move fielders, and control runners. Batting buttons select swing or bunt; pitching buttons choose pitch type and release. On defense, face buttons throw to the mapped bases and switch fielders. Start pauses or opens strategy. Gold Edition updates Triple Play 96, and its phase-based controls follow the cited original Triple Play 96 manual.
