How to Play World Series Baseball '96
Quick start
Choose exhibition, league, or season options, set the lineup, and manage batting, pitching, fielding, and runners. Use the strike-zone cursor to meet the pitch, shorten the swing with two strikes, and advance runners only after reading the outfield. Mix pitch selection and location, then take control of the nearest defender. Use the expanded roster and statistics to plan substitutions and protect late leads.
Controls
D-pad: navigate menus, place batting and pitching cursors, move fielders, and control runners. Face buttons select contact or power swings, bunts, pitch types, throws to mapped bases, and player switching according to the situation. Start pauses or opens strategy. Context labels on each screen confirm the active command.
