How to Play World Series Baseball 98
Quick start
Set the roster and strategy, then play batting, pitching, fielding, and baserunning with the series' familiar presentation. Choose contact, normal, or power hitting, anticipate the pitch location, and use the batter's strong zone when possible. Pitch with fastballs, splitters, and changeups around weak quadrants, decide between manual and automatic fielding, and use the 27 saved statistical categories to manage a full league.
Controls
D-pad: navigate menus, position the batting or pitching cursor, move fielders, and direct runners. Face buttons choose contact, normal, or power swings, pitch types, throws, and runner commands according to the phase. Start pauses or opens strategy. Gameplay is documented as visually and mechanically identical to the previous Genesis entry, whose cited manual supplies the control structure.
