How to Play Ys III: Wanderers from Ys
Quick start
Guide Adol through towns, side-scrolling fields, caves, and ruins while gathering clues and improving equipment. Evade an enemy's attack before moving into sword range, earn experience and gold, and check each ring's effect and consumption before relying on it. Save healing items for bosses, revisit blocked routes after finding a new tool, and save frequently in safe areas before a difficult dungeon.
Controls
D-pad: move, crouch, climb, and navigate menus. A: use the equipped item or ring ability. B: attack with the sword. C: jump. Start: open equipment and status or pause. Hold Up or Down with an attack to change its height, and use jumping strikes against airborne enemies or targets on ledges.
