Start a new game from the title, select your character and first map, and enter the battle party. On your turn, roll the dice and move forward as many squares as you rolled. In the early stages, collect attack cards and secure empty squares, and when you land on an enemy-owned square, decide whether to capture it or not by looking at the difference in strength. The battle consists of three attack rounds where you select a card each time and compete for the total value before proceeding to the finish input. Look at card effects and combinations before making your selections, and prioritize on-screen instructions for mini-games such as special keystrokes, repeated hits, and falling object collection.

Cross button: directional input for menus, progression routes, attack card selection, and mini-games. A button: Decide, roll the dice, confirm cards and square actions, and execute actions instructed on the screen. B button: Cancel, return to previous screen. START button: Pause/system screen during play. At the end of the battle and in each mini-game, follow the rows of buttons, mashing instructions, and directional inputs that appear on the screen.
