How to Play Andre Agassi Tennis
Quick start
Press START for the options. Use directions to select and 1 or 2 to confirm. Choose Game, Match or Tournament, singles or doubles, a surface and your player. For an initial match, practise reaching the ball before swinging with 1, then try 2 to send a lob over your opponent.
Controls
Directions: move; Left/Right positions the server and sets shot angle. 1: serve or hit. 2: lob serve or lob return. While pressing 1 or 2, hold Left/Right to angle the ball; longer swing and angle holds produce harder returns. START: pause or resume. Menus: directions choose, 1 or 2 confirms.

This is a pre-release build of Andre Agassi Tennis. Andre Agassi Tennis for Game Gear puts court position and shot placement at the centre of play. Choose from eight players, then face the computer in a single match or a tournament campaign. Singles lets you pick your own player, while doubles also lets you choose a partner. Grass, clay, hard and indoor courts provide four settings for competition. The game chooses the appropriate forehand, backhand, volley or overhead stroke automatically, leaving you to reach the ball, decide between a hit and a lob, and steer the return. Holding the swing and direction longer increases the strength of the return. Tournament play spans all four surfaces, with four matches per singles tournament or three in doubles.
