How to Play Battletoads
Quick start
Press START at the logo and again at the title to begin. Move with the D-pad, attack with 1 and jump with 2. Double-tap left or right to run, then use 1 for a running Smash Hit. Eat flies with 1 to recover Power Points.

D-pad: move; left/right also positions vehicles. Double-tap left/right to run. 1: attack, pick up or throw objects and enemies, eat flies; use with a run for Smash Hits. 2: jump, including vehicle jumps. START: begin, pause or resume.
Battletoads — About this game
Battletoads sends you to the Dark Queen’s world after she captures Pimple and Princess Angelica. The Game Gear adventure mixes fighting on foot with dangerous obstacle courses and vehicle sections. Attack enemies, pick up or throw objects and use a running Smash Hit to break through opposition. Jumping is just as important as fighting, especially when a vehicle must clear hazards at speed. The rescue route leads through canyons, tunnels, ice and fire rather than staying in one kind of arena. Keep an eye on Power Points: blows drain them, and another hit when they are gone costs a life. Flies restore power, but you must eat them with the attack button. Learn the spacing of obstacles and recover health when an opening appears.
