How to Play Captain America and the Avengers
Quick start
Press START to reach the title and again to choose a hero. Select an Avenger with the D-pad and press START. Use 1 to punch and 2 to jump. Move close to an enemy and press 1 to pick him up, then 1 again to throw.
Controls
D-pad: move or aim attacks. 1: punch; with a held direction, special weapon attack. Close to an enemy, 1 picks up and another 1 throws. 2: jump; tap twice for a jumping kick. 2 then 1: jumping special weapon attack. START: begin, pause or resume.
Captain America and the Avengers — About this game
Captain America and the Avengers lets you choose Captain America, Iron Man, Vision or Hawkeye before taking on Red Skull’s forces. The Game Gear adventure spans five stages, from city streets and a damaged ship to underwater fighting and the threat of a lunar laser cannon. Use punches, jumps, throws and each hero’s special attack rather than standing still trading hits. Captain America has his shield, Hawkeye his bow, and Iron Man and Vision use energy attacks. Bosses include Whirlwind, Mandarin, Juggernaut and Ultron on the way to Red Skull. Health discs restore different amounts of energy, while winged hearts add a life and continue. The options let you adjust difficulty and lives before beginning. Learn the jumping attacks early so you can keep moving through crowded encounters.
