How to Play Chakan
Quick start
Press START at the title, choose Wicked, Deadly or Mental with up/down and confirm with START, 1 or 2. Explore the navigation ledges and press up before a portal. Use 1 to attack, 2 to jump and START to open alchemy.
Controls
Left/right: move. Up: enter a portal at navigation. Down: crouch. 1 + D-pad: directional attack. 2: jump; press again in midair for a spinning jump, then 1 for a spin attack. Diagonal down + 2: roll. START: open alchemy or close it unchanged. On alchemy, move the hand with the D-pad and activate the selected weapon or alchemy with 1.
Chakan — About this game
Chakan won a duel with Death and received eternal life with a cruel condition: rest will come only after supernatural evil is destroyed. The Game Gear adventure begins in a navigation area whose ledges lead to six portals. Explore the paths for potions, then stand before a portal and enter its world. Combat demands more than a forward slash: aim attacks in different directions, roll through narrow spaces and combine a spinning jump with a sword strike. Watch the skull display fade as damage accumulates. Defeat sends Chakan to the Ship of Death, from which he can return to navigation and retry a portal or choose another. Elemental potions support alchemy, and additional swords expand the initial twin-sword arsenal. Check the alchemy screen rather than ignoring the resources collected during exploration.
