How to Play Chuck Rock
Quick start
Press START, select Start Game and confirm with 1. Move with Left/Right, attack with 1 and jump with 2. At a useful rock, hold Down and press 1 to lift it. Press 1 again to throw, or Down + 1 to put it down.
Controls
Left/Right: move; Down: duck. In the ocean, directions swim. 1: belly-bump, or kick in mid-air. 2: jump. Down + 1 picks up a rock or sets a carried rock down; 1 throws it. START opens pause choices; select with directions and confirm with 1. Passwords use directions and 1.
Chuck Rock — About this game
Chuck Rock for Game Gear gives its caveman hero more to do than leap over enemies. A belly-bump handles nearby threats, while a kick is available in mid-air. Useful rocks can be lifted, thrown, set down or stacked as footholds. Carrying a heavy one reduces your jump height, so choosing where to leave it becomes part of finding a route. Stages also include swimming, where Chuck’s stamina needs attention alongside his health. Passwords let you return to a reached level. The pause menu offers a restart, but restarting the level preserves the health you had when you paused; it is a way to retry the route rather than refill your energy.
