How to Play Arliel - Crystal Densetsu
Quick start
Press START and choose New Adventure with the D-pad; confirm with START, 1 or 2. On the opening map, select an ally with 2, choose a highlighted destination and press 2. If an enemy is in range, point the sword at it and confirm with 2. Check unfamiliar enemies with Scan when available, and press START to finish the phase after preparing your units.
Controls
D-pad: move the map marker or Iris in town and select commands. 2: select units, confirm destinations and commands; select a spell and target, then confirm the cast. 1: cancel commands or open character data. START: begin, end a phase and open the Ally window in town. Movement can be cancelled with 1 while still in progress.
Arliel - Crystal Densetsu — About this game
Crystal Warriors follows Princess Iris as she protects the earth crystal and challenges the army that stole the other three. On each map, move your allies, attack or cast magic, then finish the phase so the enemy can act. Up to nine characters enter a round, making recruitment and selection important as the force grows. Enemy identities begin hidden; attacking reveals them, while Scan lets you investigate before committing to combat. Elements shape the matchups: water beats fire, fire beats wind and wind beats water, while earth remains neutral. Fighters can defeat and keep monsters to send into later battles. After taking a fortress, visit town to buy equipment, meet recruits and save a bookmark at the inn. Before moving everyone forward, check the terrain, healing support and the fortress you still need to defend.
