How to Play CutThroat Island
Quick start
Press START at the title to begin the opening adventure. Walk with Left/Right, jump with Up and slash with 2. Use 1 for a kick. Stand in front of a weapon and press Down to pick it up. Watch for demonstrations of newly earned bonus moves.
Controls
Left/Right: move. Up: jump. 2: sword slash; Down + 2: crouching attack. 1: kick; Down + 1: low sweep. Hold away from the direction faced to block; add Down for low block. Up + 1 or 2 enters a cave/door. Down picks up a weapon; direction + 1 throws it. START: pause.
CutThroat Island — About this game
This is a pre-release build of CutThroat Island. CutThroat Island follows Morgan through a pirate adventure of sword fights, weapons and locked routes. The sword is her default weapon, but knives, bombs and a single-shot pistol add other ways to handle enemies. Pickups restore health or provide keys, while careful attacks also contribute to scoring. A separate aggression meter governs bonus moves: it must be flashing before those earned techniques can be used. Heavy damage can reset that advantage, making defense and timing important. Learn the difference between a sword slash, a kick and a low attack before chasing the next weapon.
