How to Play Donald Duck no 4-Tsu no Hihou

Quick start

Press START twice to pass the introduction and reach the island map. Choose an area with directions and 1. Move with Left/Right, jump with 2 and kick with 1. Bounce onto enemies from above and kick chests open; collect each area’s magical item before seeking the shrine.

Controls

Left/Right: move. Up: enter openings. Down: duck. 1: kick or choose a map area. 2: jump; press repeatedly to swim. START: pause or resume. On the island map, 1 or 2 also displays score and remaining tries.

Deep Duck Trouble Starring Donald Duck sends Donald to an island to undo the curse afflicting Uncle Scrooge. Choose destinations on the map and explore the jungle, inlet, volcano and mountain. Each area holds a magical item needed to enter the amulet shrine. Donald can leap past hazards, bounce on creatures to reach higher ground or kick a nearby rock or crate into an enemy. Treasure chests also open with a kick, rewarding a look around rather than a headlong dash. Food restores lost Life Gems, while a hot chilli pepper sends Donald charging through obstacles at speed. Swimming uses repeated presses of the jump button. Learn how enemies and movable objects can become part of the route before leaving an area behind.
