How to Play Desert Strike - Return to the Gulf
Quick start
Use 1 to select menu options. Choose a co-pilot, inspect the control setup in Options, then start the campaign and read its briefing. Press START to inspect the map before approaching targets. Use directions to highlight map functions and Up/Down to cycle targets; return with 1.
Controls
Directions control flight and select map entries. The pictured button setup assigns 1 to Hellfires/jink and 2 to Hydras/guns; inspect Options to choose the configuration. START opens the map and pauses flight. On the map, directions choose functions and Up/Down cycles targets; 1 returns to flight. Main-menu choices use 1.

Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf makes every sortie a balance between combat and preparation. Choose a co-pilot, review the briefing and use the map to identify targets before flying into defended territory. The map pauses the action without using fuel, giving you time to inspect mission requirements and your status. The Apache carries guns, Hydras and Hellfires, but supplies are limited and its armour cannot absorb unlimited fire. Rescued personnel also take space, with six passengers at most. Different targets require attention to their protection and the danger of nearby defences. Campaign passwords allow later progress to resume, but do not preserve the co-pilot choice. Keep checking the mission log instead of assuming every visible building should be destroyed immediately.
