How to Play Double Dragon
Quick start
Press START at the title. Move Billy with the D-pad, punch with 1 and use 2 for a jumping high kick. Try left/right + 2 to flip, then press 2 again in the air for a straight kick.
Controls
D-pad: move in four directions. 1: punch; repeated presses make follow-through attacks. 2: jumping high kick. Left/right + 2: flip; another 2 during the flip releases a straight kick. START: begin, pause or resume; accept an earned continue before its timer expires.
Double Dragon — About this game
Double Dragon on Game Gear is a solo rescue mission for Billy Lee. The Black Warriors have taken Marian to Samurai Mansion, and Billy must fight from the slums through uptown, docks, a train and the countryside to reach her. Punches and jumping kicks form the core of combat. Follow through with repeated punches, or flip toward an enemy and release a straight kick in midair. Objects found along the route can also help; the first stage includes a gun Billy can use. Watch both Billy’s life meter and enemy health when choosing whether to close in. A continue is not automatic: enough points must be earned, then START must be pressed during the countdown.
