How to Play F-15 Strike Eagle
Quick start
Choose START GAME and begin with Airman to learn the cockpit. Left/Right rolls and turns, Up dives and Down climbs. Use 2 for the cannon or 1 when a missile target is locked. Press START for the map; press it again to return to flight.
Controls
Left/Right: roll and turn. Up: dive. Down: climb. 2: cannon. 1: missile, using Sidewinder for aircraft or Maverick for ground targets. 1 + 2 together: ECM decoy; wait about ten seconds before another. START: pause with map or resume; 2 on the map bails out.

F-15 Strike Eagle for Game Gear puts the mission inside a cockpit with maps and target information. Choose a pilot challenge level before flying: Airman limits control and provides automatic navigation, while Pilot and Ace give more freedom and demand more responsibility. The cannon needs a centred target, and missiles use lock-on boxes for enemy aircraft or ground objectives. Sidewinders attack aircraft and Mavericks attack ground targets; Mavericks cannot be fired above 20,000 feet. Watch altitude as well as ammunition and fuel. When a hostile missile tracks you, release an ECM decoy rather than ignoring the warning. The map pauses the sortie to review the area. Completing the attack still leaves the journey home, so do not spend every resource on the first engagement.
