How to Play Gear Works
Quick start
Press START, choose the music setting and confirm with 1. Select a gear, move to a peg and press 1 to place it. Link left to right. Use 2 to open the toolbox, choose with left/right and confirm with 2; apply the tool with 1.
Controls
D-pad: move the board cursor. 1: place gears or apply the selected gun sight, bomb or oil. 2: open toolbox and confirm its selection. START: reach the main menu. Passcode digits use left/right positions and up/down values, then 1.
Gear Works — About this game
Gear Works asks a clockmaker to turn twelve world monuments into giant timepieces. Build a working chain from the rotating gear on the left to the target on the right, using small, medium and large gears. Placement alone is not enough: every gear in the chain must rotate. Some size combinations do not mesh, while rusty or jammed gears raise the engine temperature. Use oil for rust, bombs for damaged or misplaced parts and the gun sight against troublesome Poffins. Time and heat both threaten a life, so plan a short connection before filling the board. A passcode lets you return to progress rather than rebuild everything in one sitting.
