How to Play Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba
Quick start
Move with directions, use 1 for the sword and 2 to jump. Press START, select an acquired jewel with left/right and resume. Hold 1 until the sword icon blinks, then release for its special attack.
Controls
1: attack; hold/release for selected charged special. 2: jump. Up: guard. Down: crouch. Down + 2: drop from suitable platforms. START: pause; left/right selects jewel there.
Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba — About this game
Kenyuu Densetsu Yaiba gives Yaiba a sword-based moveset with more to consider than constant attacking. Approach an enemy at a useful distance, guard when needed and choose a safe landing before a jumping strike. Jewels add special attacks that you select from the pause menu. Charging one takes time, so find enough space before holding the attack button and wait for the sword icon to signal readiness. Practise the basic attack and jump first, then add a selected power when the situation calls for it. Watch the remaining special energy instead of spending it on every encounter.
