Madou Monogatari II: Arle 16-sai for Game Gear begins with Arle trapped in an underground prison. Explore from a first-person view, checking doors, switches and the map to build a route out. Fire and Ice Storm are useful in battle, but magic can also change the environment: certain pools respond differently to heat and cold. Read Arle’s face and listen to the music to judge her condition instead of waiting for a conventional health number. Bags have limited capacity, so make room for recovery supplies and important discoveries. Learn where dependable recovery points are, use keys deliberately and save before pushing into another unfamiliar floor. This is a dungeon RPG built around decisions and observation.
