How to Play MLBPA Baseball
Quick start
Choose One Game to learn the controls. Set your team and lineup, pitch with 1, then use 2 for batting when your turn arrives.
Controls
Pitch: 1; 1+down fastball, +up sinker, +left/right curve. 2+base direction: pickoff. Bat: hold 2 to swing, tap 2 to bunt. Field: 2 selects fielder; 1+direction dives or throws. Running: 1+base advances, 2+base returns. Bases: right first, up second, left third, down home. START: begin/pause.
MLBPA Baseball — About this game
MLBPA Baseball combines individual games with playoff, championship series and full-season play on Game Gear. Build a batting order, select pitchers and decide whether to use the designated hitter before taking the field. Pitch placement and pitch type matter, but defense also requires quick throws to the right base. Fielders track the ball automatically until you take control, so you can concentrate on the developing play. At bat, alternate full swings and bunts, then direct runners to advance or retreat. Player statistics help frame each matchup. Season passwords let you return to a longer campaign, and the choice of grass or turf changes how the ball behaves.
