How to Play Primal Rage
Quick start
Choose 1P Training, then your fighter and opponent. Directions position the fighter; try 1 for a quick upper attack and 2 for a fierce lower attack. Practice one character’s combinations before the main game.
Controls
Left/right: approach/retreat; away guards, up jumps, down crouches. 1: quick upper attack. 2: fierce lower attack. Held buttons + direction sequences: character specials. START: menus/pause.
Primal Rage — About this game
Primal Rage brings six giant fighters to Game Gear in a contest for control of Urth. Training lets you choose a fighter and opponent before taking on the main challenge. Quick upper attacks and fierce lower attacks create different openings, while special moves combine held buttons with directional inputs. Watch both life and stun: a dazed fighter is vulnerable without yet being beaten, and quick left/right movement helps recover. Bouts are decided over the best of three rounds. Begin with a simple attack at a safe distance, then add a second move when you understand the opponent’s response.
