How to Play Prince of Persia
Quick start
Press START and choose a new game. Move with left/right, hold 1 with a direction for careful steps, and use 2 for jumps. Up climbs. With a sword, 1 strikes and 2 blocks at the moment of attack.

Left/right: run; hold 1 + direction: careful steps. 2: jump, or block during sword combat. 1: hold ledges, or strike in combat. Up: climb. Down: crouch/pick up/sheath sword. START: begin/pause.
Prince of Persia — About this game
Prince of Persia follows an imprisoned adventurer through traps and sword fights to reach the princess before Jaffar’s deadline. Movement needs planning: a running jump covers more ground, while careful steps let you approach a pit without rushing over it. Hold on to a reachable ledge to recover from a short jump, then climb to safety. Finding a sword changes the controls into a duel of strikes and timed blocks. Watch loose floors, gates and the life triangles rather than sprinting through every room. Level passwords let you return to a later stage and practice a difficult route.
