Quick start
Press START, choose Ren or Stimpy with the pad and press START again. Use 1 to attack and 2 to jump. Try Up+2 for the special jump, then watch the next platform and pass fire hydrants to establish restart progress.
Controls
Left/Right: move. 1: ranged attack. 2: jump. Up+2: special jump—Ren high jump, Stimpy triple stomp. START: title selection and begin, pause/resume. Character selection determines movement abilities.

Quest for the Shaven Yak Starring Ren Hoek & Stimpy for Game Gear sends the pair after the hooves the Great Shaven Yak has forgotten. Choose a character for the journey and use ranged attacks to clear creatures from awkward platforms. Ren throws toothbrushes and Stimpy spits hairballs, but their special movement makes the larger difference. Up+2 gives Ren a high jump, while Stimpy uses a heavy triple stomp to break suitable obstacles and reach hidden areas. Lightweight Ren can cross some surfaces that will not support Stimpy. Look for recovery items and better weapons, but remember that taking a hit removes certain acquired weapons. Fire hydrants mark useful restart positions. Match the chosen character’s strengths to the route instead of assuming every ledge is reached the same way.
