How to Play R.C. Grand Prix
Quick start
Press 1, choose the number of players with up/down and confirm with 1. Enter a name or select End. At the buzzer hold 1 to accelerate, steer left/right and follow the arrows through the required laps.
Controls
Left/right: steer relative to the buggy’s heading. Hold 1: accelerate; 1 also confirms menus and buys selected parts. In the parts shop, left/right selects parts and up/down inspects equipment. 2 starts the game and has no racing function.
R.C. Grand Prix — About this game
R.C. Grand Prix is an overhead buggy racer where steering follows the car’s heading rather than the screen. Race three computer cars, follow the corner arrows and cross track intersections straight ahead to avoid wandering onto the wrong loop. Finishing among the first three before the time limit keeps you in the competition; fourth place or running out of time eliminates you. Prize money and time bonuses can buy improved suspension, motors, gears, batteries and tyres. Up to four people can enter, taking turns in separate races instead of sharing the track simultaneously. Learn the circuit shape first, then use upgrades to improve a consistent run rather than trying to fix every corner with more speed.
