How to Play Riddick Bowe Boxing
Quick start
Press START, select 1 PLAYER MATCH and choose fighters to learn the ring. Move into range, use 1 for a left jab and 2 for a right jab. Try down to duck and 1+2 to block before starting a created boxer’s career.
Controls
Left/right: approach or retreat. Down: duck. 1/2: left/right jab while standing, left/right hook while crouched. Up+1/2: left/right uppercut. 1+2: two-arm block. After a knockdown rapidly alternate 1 and 2 to rise. START: menus and pause.
Riddick Bowe Boxing — About this game
Riddick Bowe Boxing offers a single match or a career built around a boxer you create. Set appearance and balance power, speed and stamina before challenging the ranked contenders. In the ring, jabs, hooks and uppercuts work at different heights, while ducking and a two-arm block help you survive an opponent’s response. Missing a punch costs energy as well as taking a hit, so constant swinging can leave you vulnerable. Recover while standing, watch both meters and choose openings instead of exhausting yourself on empty space. Career progress uses a name and password, and between bouts you can choose training or recovery resources. The original cartridge also supports a two-player match through a Gear-to-Gear link.
