How to Play Rise of the Robots
Quick start
Press START to reach the menu. Choose Combat Training with up/down and 1, select an opponent with 2 and begin with 1. Practise 1 for kicks, 2 for punches and diagonal down-left for a crouching block.
Controls
Left/right: move toward or away. Up: jump; down: crouch. 1: kick; down+1: low kick; up+1: flying kick. 2: punch; down+2: low punch; up+2: turbo head-butt. Down+left: crouching block. Left+1: shoulder barge. Menus use 1 to confirm.
Rise of the Robots — About this game
Rise of the Robots sends the Cyborg into Electrocorp’s factory to stop a corrupted Supervisor. On Game Gear, the action is a series of side-view fights with different industrial robots. Combat Training lets you select an opponent other than the Supervisor and practise spacing before starting the mission. Read the robot analysis, then vary high and low attacks rather than repeating a single move. Energy decides a knockout and also the winner when a timed bout ends; timer length and best-of-three, five or seven encounters are adjustable. The Cyborg fights from the left side, so learn forward and backward movement from that position. Keep enough distance to see an attack begin, then close for a deliberate counter.
