How to Play Shikinjou
Quick start
Press START to begin and select a stage. Move toward a tile to push it into a matching tile, clear a path and walk into the exit. Use 1 to undo and 2 for the command window.
Controls
Pad: move character or menu cursor. 1: undo one move or cancel a command. 2: open command window, confirm or enter password characters. START: begin; during a puzzle, toggle the step display. START is not the pause command.
Shikinjou — About this game
Shikinjou for Game Gear uses mahjong tiles as obstacles in a movement puzzle. Walk into a movable tile to push it, and bring identical tiles together to remove them. The task is to open a route and reach the exit, rather than clear a solitaire layout by selecting pairs. Fixed obstacles and narrow passages make the order of your pushes crucial. Button 1 lets you undo a move, while the window opened with 2 provides commands when you need to reconsider a stage. Watch the step display to improve a solution after finding a safe path. The final ten puzzles change the usual rules, so observe the board before repeating a familiar approach.
