How to Play The Lion King
Quick start
Choose START at the start/options screen and press START. With default controls, move left/right, jump with 1 and roar with 2. Practise a running jump on the first safe ledges. When hanging from a swinging object, press the jump button to launch higher.
Controls
Left/right: run. Up/down: look up/crouch. Cub: down+left/right rolls. Default 1: jump/pounce; 2: roar. Adult: up/down+2 slashes, 1+2 jumping slash. START: start or pause/resume. Options can exchange the actions of 1 and 2; use your selected jump button on swings.
The Lion King — About this game
This is a pre-release build of The Lion King. The Lion King follows Simba through rocky ledges, animal-filled paths and a dangerous journey away from home. Movement matters as much as attacking: line up a running jump, grab a ledge when the leap falls short and use swinging tails or roots to gain height. Young Simba can roll and roar, while the adult has slashing attacks, so the same approach does not fit every part of the adventure. Watch the shape and position of an enemy before jumping toward it. Helpful bugs restore health or grant temporary powers, while a diamond earns a Pumbaa bonus round after the level. Preserve room to land and practise one clean jump before rushing through a new stretch.
