How to Play The Pro Yakyuu '91
Quick start
Start a game against the computer, choose your team with the D-pad and confirm with 1 or 2. Use START to begin. At bat, position the hitter and watch the pitch before using the action buttons. On defence, select pitch direction and choose the destination base before throwing.
Controls
D-pad: menus, batter/pitcher position, pitch selection and directions for runners, pickoffs and field throws. 1/2: confirm in menus; the batting, pitching, runner advance/return and throwing actions change with play context. START: start or pause during a game.
The Pro Yakyuu '91 — About this game
The Pro Yakyuu '91 brings twelve Japanese professional teams and named players to Game Gear. Play a baseball game or concentrate on hitting in the home-run contest. In a match, the rhythm changes between waiting for a good pitch, choosing how to deliver the next ball and reacting when it enters the field. Before a throw, check the runners and decide which base matters most; a hurried choice can give up an extra advance. At bat, avoid swinging automatically at every delivery. Use a first game against the computer to learn the change of roles, then pay closer attention to advancing and returning runners once the basic timing feels familiar.
