How to Play The Terminator
Quick start
Press START, move Left/Right and attack with 1. Use 2 to jump; Up+1 lobs a grenade, Down+1 rolls it along the floor. In the first level, find the gun and time bomb, then reach the time machine before the timer ends.
Controls
Left/Right: move Reese. Down: crouch. 1: throw grenade/fire gun; Up+1 high grenade arc, Down+1 ground roll. 2: jump. START: begin, pause/resume and skip between-level interludes.
The Terminator — About this game
The Terminator for Game Gear follows Kyle Reese from the future battlefield into the past. Grenades and gunfire clear a route, while different throwing angles let you reach enemies above or along the ground. The opening mission requires finding the machine gun and time bomb, then reaching the time machine before the destruction timer expires. Later scenes move through Los Angeles, Technoir, the police station and the factory as Reese tries to keep Sarah alive. Read the interludes for the next objective and protect the heart meter: reaching zero ends the attempt, while completing a scene restores it. Pick a safe firing position before jumping into a crowded area.
