How to Play Wimbledon
Quick start
Press START, choose Free Match with up/down and confirm with 2. Select singles, a court surface and the players, then press 2 at the matchup screen. When serving, use 1 for a flat serve or 2 for a lob serve and aim with the D-pad.
Controls
D-pad: move and aim shots; up adds topspin, down adds slice when hitting. 1: flat serve/return and menu cancel. 2: lob serve/return and menu confirm. START: begin or pause/resume. Use the chosen shot button for the toss and serve.
Wimbledon — About this game
Wimbledon offers tennis through Free Match practice, a Tour campaign and a separate Link Match mode. Begin with a practice singles match to learn how the ball travels on clay, hard and grass courts. Surface changes affect speed and bounce, so the same approach does not suit every rally. Button 1 produces a low, flat shot and button 2 a higher lob; adding a direction helps aim the return. A deep ball can move the opponent away from the net, leaving room for a later passing shot. In Tour mode you develop your own player and use passwords to continue the campaign. Learn to return reliably before committing to an aggressive net game.
