How to Play Wonder Boy III - The Dragon's Trap
Quick start
Choose New Game with START, explore the castle and defeat Mecha Dragon. After the curse, search Alsedo and nearby routes, collecting gold for supplies.
Controls
D-pad: move; up enters doors. 1: sword attack or lizard fire; change status/equipment screens. 2: jump or confirm equipment/purchases; tap repeatedly to swim or fly in the appropriate form. Down+2: selected magic. START: begin, open status and resume.
Wonder Boy III - The Dragon's Trap — About this game
This is a pre-release build of Wonder Boy III - The Dragon's Trap. Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap begins with a castle and a battle against Mecha Dragon. Victory carries a curse: the hero becomes Lizard-Man, and the search for the Salamander Cross begins. Explore outward from Alsedo, defeat dragons and gain forms that change how you navigate the world. Mouse-Man can cling to special surfaces, Piranha-Man swims and Hawk-Man flies, opening paths that were previously out of reach. Gold buys equipment and healing, but obtaining a weapon is not the same as equipping it: check the status screens before heading out. Remember shops, locked doors and unusual terrain, then revisit them when a new form gives you the right tool.
