How to Play Revenge of Drancon
Quick start
Press START and choose an area with up/down. Move right, collect food and an axe, then use 1 to attack and 2 to jump.
Controls
Left/right: move. Up-left/up-right: move faster. 1: throw axe after collecting it. 2: jump; combine with up or 1 for a high jump. Up/down: choose starting area. START: begin/pause.
Revenge of Drancon — About this game
Wonder Boy sends its young hero through hazardous side-scrolling stages to rescue Tina. The Game Gear adventure revolves around momentum, high jumps and a vitality meter that continually drains. Food keeps that meter alive, so a safe route must also keep you moving toward the next pickup. Find an axe to attack from a distance and judge jumps over enemies, flames and gaps. Collecting the doll increases the round’s bonus, giving careful detours a purpose. The initial area selector helps you approach different stretches, but each section still demands attention to terrain. Learn the unusual directional speed boost and combine it with a high jump when a wide obstacle blocks the path.
