How to Play World Derby
Quick start
Start a campaign, enter the requested names and look through the stable menu. Select your horse, check its condition and arrange its preparation before choosing a race. Read the entry details before confirming and review the result before planning the next outing.

D-pad: move through menus and select horses or commands. 2: confirm the highlighted choice. 1: return or cancel a selection. Advance the stable and race screens through their displayed commands.

World Derby puts you in charge of a racing stable as an owner and breeder. Visit the stable to arrange training, use the ranch for rest and breeding, and examine horses at the market before spending your funds. Your decisions matter across more than one race: a promising horse needs a plan that leaves room for its development rather than an immediate rush into every event. Follow its results and adjust the next preparation. Winning domestic G1 races can open the way to overseas competition. Begin with one horse and learn the menu routine before expanding the stable, so it is easier to see how each choice affects the season.
