X-Men for Game Gear starts with Wolverine and Cyclops trying to recover their captured teammates. Choose a hero and destination in the Danger Room, then fight across platforms and enemy strongholds. A short START press switches mutant powers, while holding it pauses; learning that difference keeps a planned attack from becoming an interruption. Powers draw on a separate supply, so use ordinary attacks when they are enough and save special abilities for difficult threats or terrain. Rescuing more characters widens your choices for later missions. Retreat through the pause screen if you need to reconsider your selection, and study each hero’s jumping or flight options before crossing a dangerous gap.
